— Luapula Landscape Restoration Project

In August 2024, MDLA partnered with the Commonland Foundation to implement the Luapula Landscape Sensing Project, a one-year initiative running until July 2025. The project uses Commonland’s 4 Returns Framework to assess the state of landscape degradation and engage stakeholders in envisioning restoration goals.

The European Union has been a key partner in supporting Mansa District Land Alliance’s mission to promote democratic governance, land rights, and sustainable development in Luapula Province

— Climate Adaptation and Social Economic Development Through Low Impact Farming Fractices and forest management

Enhance productivity and improve livelihood of rural households through climate- smart agriculture, better income and sustainable practices. Strengthen Conservation Efforts through promoting community participation in conservation and law enforcement initiatives to protect natural resources.

— Enhanced Accountability and Transparency in Utilization of Public Resources (EATUPRP)

The project sought to capacitate six CSOs in Mansa and Nchelenge districts to provide oversight on the utilization of public resources in the education sector.

The project was being implemented under a Clean Development Mechanism (“CDM”) Programme of Activities (“PoA”) for distribution and use of clean efficient cook stoves.
